Dance Classes Aberdeenshire | Lawrence Dance Academy

The Lawrence Dance Academy is a friendly and welcoming family run business and has been running for over 40 years.

Our goal is to allow each dancer to experience the elements of dance: confidence, co-ordination, creativity, grace, musicality, rhythm, self-esteem, technique, an appreciation for music and dance and, above all, FUN!

We teach Highland, Scottish National, Ballet, Tap, Disco/Freestyle, Cheer, Theory, Choreography, Professional Classes and Pre-School for the 2/3 year olds.

There are no auditions held to join our Academy as all children of any nationality, age and ability are welcome to come along to our classes. We teach in Aberdeen, Kintore, Peterhead, Foveran and Mintlaw.

Principal - Rhona Lawrence

Rhona Lawrence has been completely dedicated to the world of Highland dancing for over 40 years. Her lifetime of experience in Highland dance as a teacher, judge and examiner, combined with her professional body experiences as Vice President and now President of UKAdance and various roles in the Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (RSOBHD), including currently as convenor of the Technical committee, make her an ideal candidate for any role conceivable in the world of Highland dance.
